About Attuned Child Center

Every Child Deserves to Feel Heard.

At Attuned Child Center, we believe the best care starts with listening—not just to symptoms, but to each child's unique story. By bringing together pediatric audiology, mental health counseling, and educational advocacy, we help children and families feel understood, supported, and empowered every step of the way.

Our Story

Attuned Child Center was created to bridge a gap that too many families experience.

Parents often find themselves bouncing between specialists, teachers, therapists, and healthcare providers, trying to piece together answers on their own. We believed there had to be a better way.

That's why we built a practice where hearing, learning, emotional wellbeing, and family support all work together. Instead of treating one challenge at a time, we look at the whole child—because every part of their development is connected.

Our Mission

To provide compassionate, child-centered counseling and audiology services that help children and families feel supported, connected, and understood through emotionally attuned care.

Our Vision

To redefine pediatric care through a holistic, playful, and emotionally safe approach where therapy, hearing health, and family support work together to help children thrive.

Our Core Values

EARS

Expert hearing care that helps children make sense of the world around them.

From comprehensive hearing evaluations and Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) testing to auditory therapy and hearing support, we provide evidence-based audiology services that uncover how each child processes sound. By understanding what's happening beneath the surface, we help families find answers, build confidence, and create pathways for success at home, in school, and beyond.

EMOTIONS

Compassionate support for the feelings children don't always have words for.

Through play-based therapy, counseling, and group support, we help children, teens, and young adults navigate anxiety, emotional challenges, life transitions, and self-discovery. Our approach creates a safe space where every child feels seen, understood, and empowered to develop the skills they need to thrive.

EDUCATION

Guidance that empowers families to advocate, understand, and move forward with confidence.

We believe that knowledge is one of the most powerful tools for change. Through school advocacy, IEP and 504 support, family education, and practical recommendations, we help caregivers, educators, and children better understand their unique needs and access the support systems that help them succeed.

Meet Dr. Aimee

Audiologist. Counselor. Educator. Advocate.

Dr. Aimee's path to this work wasn't exactly a straight line.

After surviving a large brain tumor, she experienced firsthand what it felt like to navigate the healthcare system as a patient. The journey left her with single-sided hearing loss and the loss of her balance nerve—an experience that changed not only how she heard the world, but how she understood the families she would one day serve.

Rather than allowing that experience to define her, she let it
shape her purpose.

She earned her Doctor of Audiology while building on her background as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, former classroom teacher, and Certified School Counselor. Together, these experiences inspired her to create the kind of practice she wished had existed for her own journey: one that sees the whole person, not just a diagnosis.

Today, Dr. Aimee combines clinical expertise with genuine empathy, helping children and families feel seen, supported, and confident as they navigate hearing, learning, and emotional challenges.

What It's Like to Work with Dr. Aimee

Every child communicates, learns, and heals in their own way. That's why therapy is tailored to meet them where they are.

Sessions are warm, playful, and thoughtfully paced to meet each child where they are. Through art, storytelling, imaginative play, movement, and meaningful conversation, children are encouraged to express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe.

Caregivers are an essential part of the journey. You'll receive practical guidance, regular collaboration, and support that extends beyond the therapy room so you can confidently help your child thrive at home, at school, and in everyday life.

More Than Credentials

Dr. Aimee believes the best care comes from understanding both sides of the experience.

As both a healthcare provider and someone living with hearing loss herself, she understands the uncertainty, frustration, and resilience that many families experience.

She also knows that no parent wants to feel dismissed or rushed.

That's why every appointment is designed to be collaborative, educational, and centered around your family's unique goals.
